Contamination Control

This half day course covers the nature of contamination and the methods used to control it. The course considers ways to control contamination through engineering controls such as containment, ventilation and air sampling. It also considers operational controls such as monitoring, designation of areas, PPE, barriers, dressing/undressing procedures and personal monitoring.

This is a practical course, with over half the course duration being in the form of practical exercises. Through practical simulation exercises and using specialised simulation equipment, delegates will learn the principles of barrier control and crossing, self monitoring, and dressing and undressing in the event of a contamination event.
