RPS for the Veterinary Practice

This one day course satisfies the HSE minimum core of knowledge required for an RPS. It covers all radiation protection issues relevant to those working in veterinary practices, including the legal obligations placed on them by IRR99.

The course covers subject matter as follows: nature of ionising radiation, biological effects of ionising radiation, practical radiation protection, principles of radiation protection against x-rays (small and large animals), working with unsealed radioactive sources and The Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999.
