It covers all radiation protection issues relevant to those working in veterinary practices, including the legal obligations placed on them by IRR17.
The course covers subject matter as follows: nature of ionising radiation, biological effects of ionising radiation, practical radiation protection, principles of radiation protection against x-rays (small and large animals), working with unsealed radioactive sources and The Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017.
