Radiation Safety and Protection Training
The Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 (IRR99) place a legal requirement on employers to ensure that all workers engaged in work with ionising radiation receive appropriate training in the field of radiation protection.
At Nuvia we offer a number of safety training courses that have been developed to meet the demands of the regulations and the needs of our clients. Each training course is presented by our own experienced trainers, who are also Radiation Protection Advisers to a wide variety of users in the industrial and nuclear sectors. This ensures that course delegates benefit from the trainers’ practical experience in working with and advising on work with ionising radiation.
Our radiation safety training department is part of our Health Physics Division.
Training Course Venues
Our training courses can be run at your premises or at any of our sites, including Windscale, Harwell, Winfrith and Dounreay. We also run courses outside the UK for our international customers.
